The Ghost in our Machines

This was a personal project we completed in collaboration with copywriter Conor Kelly for his brother. The Ghosts in Our Machines is a short, privately printed book by Doctor Barry Kelly on the history of computing – from its earliest days right up to the arrival of AI – and its philosophical implications. The book boldly incorporates core elements of coding language as typographic devices to highlight chapters and section breaks. Sadly, Doctor Kelly passed away a couple of months ago, but he did get to see this labour of love printed and shared with his many medical colleagues, friends and family. We were pleased to have been able to help make that happen.
