She said had a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to work as Creative Director and ‘voice of Northern Ireland’ on the redesign of the Ulster Bank polymer note series £5, £10, £20 and £50.

Collaborating O Street, Colin McCadden and Jeni Lennox at Nile, we developed a theme for the note series: ‘This Place is Our Place’. Celebrating the richness of our culture and landscape on the notes. The Obverse of the notes features a natural divider or hedgerow (as an antithesis to the built boundaries [peace walls] of darker days). The Reverse of the notes features life in Northern Ireland.

The £5 is passing place – celebrating our coastal landscape, migration and family, with Fuschia as the divider. The £10 is growing place (over 60% of Northern Ireland is ‘agricultural’) with Blackthorn as the divider, The £20 is dwelling place, celebrating the music, craic and culture, with Guilder Rose as the divider. The £50 is working place and celebrates innovation and industry in Northern Ireland, with Gorse as the divider.
